Amsterdam City Index
Amsterdam City Index opent handel
De handel op de Amsterdamse beurs wordt geopend door de Amsterdam City Index. Deze index bestaat sinds 2005 en wordt beschouwd als de barometer van de bedrijvige binnenstad.
Amsterdam City is initiatiefnemer en producent van de Amsterdam City Index en De Economische Les die op 28 januari heeft plaatsgevonden. Amsterdam City is een betrokken vereniging van een groot aantal ondernemersverenigingen, grotere en kleinere bedrijven, instellingen en culturele organisaties in de Amsterdamse binnenstad. Het primaire doel is een economisch gezonde stad, hun focus ligt op de verbetering van het economisch klimaat in de Amsterdamse binnenstad.
De Amsterdam City Index begon in 2005 met 100. De nieuwe City Index rekent met 2011 als startjaar, oftewel: 2011 = 100. En ten opzichte van 2011 is de City Index 11 punten gegroeid naar het nieuwe Indexgetal 111.
