Join us as a QA Automation Trainee (IEFP)!

As a QA Automation Engineer Trainee, you will actively contribute to the quality of data-driven systems through both manual and automated testing.

Key Accountabilities

As a QA Automation Engineer Trainee, you will:

  • Learn and apply the company’s QA and test automation standards
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated test suites using Python, Bash/Linux, or other scripting tools
  • Execute automated and manual tests and analyze results
  • Support automation coverage improvements across projects
  • Review functional and technical specifications from a quality and automation perspective
  • Write test cases, automation scenarios, and QA reports
  • Report defects clearly and track them using QA tools
  • Participate in risk identification related to quality and automation gaps
  • Support the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitor and report software quality using KPIs and dashboards
  • Collaborate with project and QA teams across locations
  • Contribute to functional and technical documentation for Data Systems
  • Test applications running on AWS-based infrastructure
  • Support daily QA activities (boards updates, release scope reviews, dashboards)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor´s or Master´s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal communication).
  • Strong interest in QA automation and software quality
  • Good understanding of software testing fundamentals (functional testing, test design concepts, black box / white box awareness)
  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, Java, or JavaScript / Linux shell, Bash scripting for automation and data validation)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Exposure to API testing (e.g. Postman or similar tools)
  • Familiarity with writing test cases and basic test documentation
  • Exposure to bug-tracking tools such as Jira
  • Ability to understand functional and technical specifications
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Problem-solving attitude with quality as a priority
  • Comfortable working in an evolving technical environment
  • Good communication skills and team spirit
  • Eligible for an IEFP Level VI Internship.

Desirable

  • Introductory experience with test automation frameworks (PyTest, JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, etc.)
  • Awareness of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
  • Basic knowledge of AWS services (S3, Lambda, Redshift, Step Functions)
  • Introductory knowledge of Kafka concepts
  • Python or Linux scripting for test automation or data validation.
