One in seven Dutch young adults are in financial and problematic debt. The consequences for these young adults and for society are enormous. After five years of cooperating with tens of municipalities, hundreds of schools and conversations with thousands of young adults, Diversion now takes stock: what we are doing now to improve debt prevention among young people is not enough. That is why Diversion proposes a different view on debt prevention in this book, with tools and ideas to align policy with the needs of young adults, so that everyone will be financially literate and able to use money wisely before the age of 18.
