Job description 

We are looking for a business Data Analyst to join our Statistics and Analytics team based in Porto. 

As part of a team at the intersection of data and business, you will work with stakeholders across Euronext to turn data into actionable insights. You will help teams better understand market activity, customer behaviour and business performance, while contributing to innovative analytics solutions that support growth and operational excellence.  

Leveraging Euronext's extensive market data assets and other internal data sources, you will conduct analysis, develop reporting solutions, and contribute to the delivery of value-added analytics services. You will combine a strong analytical mindset with a client-oriented approach to understand stakeholders' challenges and proactively propose data-driven solutions. 

You will play an active role in the continuous improvement of our analytics ecosystem by automating processes, enhancing data self-service capabilities and exploring innovative ways to deliver insights through modern technologies, including AI-powered tools.

The role also includes responsibilities in key operational processes, notably supporting billing related activities, ensuring accuracy, reliability and appropriate controls in business-critical workflows. 

How you'll make an impact

• Deliver high-quality statistics, reports, analysis and bespoke studies that support business decisions across Euronext. 

• Transform complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for a variety of stakeholders. 

• Partner with business teams to understand their challenges and identify opportunities where data can create value. 

• Develop, maintain and improve dashboards, reporting solutions, and self-service analytics tools. 
• Support key business processes, including billing activities, ensuring robust controls and auditability. 

• Work with large and diverse datasets, including market and business data, to answer strategic and operational questions. 

• Explore and leverage AI-powered and emerging technologies to improve productivity, enhance analytics capabilities and develop innovative services. 

• Collaborate closely with fellow analysts to share knowledge, challenge assumptions and continuously raise the team's standards and impact.

Technical skills 

You have strong hands-on experience with:

• SQL 

• Python and Pandas data analytics library, including development environments such as Jupyter Notebooks or Visual Studio 

The following would be considered an advantage:

• Dataiku 

• Power BI 

• AI tools 

Experience & qualifications 

We're looking for someone with:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a related field. 

• Proven experience partnering directly with business stakeholders and supporting decision-making through data-driven insights. 

• Experience working with financial data, ideally within financial services, capital markets or a comparable data-intensive environment. 

• Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

• Experience designing, developing or maintaining reporting solutions, dashboards and self-service analytics tools. 

• Experience working with large and diverse datasets while ensuring high standards of data quality and reliability. 

• Excellent written and spoken English. You'll be interacting daily with people from all over Europe.
