Want to take on a key role as Senior Compliance Officer at Euronext Oslo Børs?

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer who thrives in a highly regulated environment, handles complexity with confidence, and enjoys working closely with the business to ensure that we operate with integrity every step of the way.

At Euronext Oslo Børs you will be part of a Nordic and European environment where things move fast – and where your insights truly matter. This is a role for someone who wants responsibility, visibility, and the opportunity to work across many different stakeholders and disciplines.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Compliance Officer to join our Compliance team in a temporary position. In this role, you will help ensure that our business remains fully compliant with regulatory requirements and obligations, primarily under MIFID II, MAR, the Norwegian Securities Trading Act and Regulations and other local Norwegian legislation, while supporting the organization in maintaining a strong and mature compliance culture.

You will report to the Group Head of Corporate Compliance and collaborate with a wide range of teams internally, including Group Corporate Compliance, Risk, Internal Control, Listing Market Services and Legal & Regulatory Affairs, and maintain strong relationships with external regulators. This role offers broad exposure, ownership, and the opportunity to influence how compliance is embedded throughout our operations.

Your main responsibilities

  • Compliance risk management: Execute, monitor, and update compliance risk assessments, policies, and procedures in line with applicable regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic compliance reviews and related activities to ensure ongoing adherence.
  • Controls and reviews: Perform compliance controls and thematic reviews, ensuring timely follow-up and enforcement of recommended actions to mitigate risks.
  • Advisory support: Provide expert guidance to business units on compliance matters, particularly related to Euronext Oslo Børs activities, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Operational and strategic compliance: Manage operational and strategic compliance initiatives in accordance with compliance frameworks, plans, and policies.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Group Corporate Compliance, Internal Control, Risk, Listing, Market Services, and Legal & Regulatory Affairs, fostering a harmonized compliance approach.
  • Continuous dialogue: Engage proactively with employees across the organization, offering guidance, clarification, and training on compliance topics.
  • Management reporting: Prepare and deliver periodic management reports to track compliance performance, highlight risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Project planning and execution: Plan, prioritize, and execute tasks within both local and Group Corporate Compliance functions, contributing to the achievement of compliance objectives.
  • Internal governance: Prepare, update, and oversee internal governing documents such as policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure they reflect current regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Training and communication: Develop presentations, training materials, and conduct training sessions to embed a culture of compliance in line with the compliance plan.
  • Project leadership: Contribute to, or independently manage, Group Corporate Compliance projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory expectations.

Who we are looking for

You have a minimum of 3+ years experience from a regulatory or compliance function within the financial sector, preferably with a legal masters’ degree. Knowledge and experience related to key regulations such as MiFID II, MAR, and related legislation are required or strongly preferred. You understand complex regulatory frameworks and enjoy translating them into clear, practical guidance for the business.

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Have strong understanding of the regulatory environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Are detail-oriented with a structured and analytical approach.
  • Enjoy working with many different stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Are energetic, collaborative and comfortable balancing both long-term tasks and time-sensitive issues.
  • Take initiative, contribute actively and appreciate being part of an international, fast-moving environment.
