The Irish Stock Exchange plc, now trading as Euronext Dublin, joined the Euronext Group in March 2018. In joining the Euronext Federal model group, Euronext Dublin serves as the groups centre of excellence for Debt and Funds listings.

Irish Corporate Governance Code

September 2024 saw the launch of the inaugural Irish Corporate Governance Code. This milestone is the result of extensive collaboration and effort from a wide range of contributors. The new Irish Code establishes a robust benchmark for good governance in the Irish corporate sector and seeks to provide a framework that balances the expectations of transparency and accountability with the practicalities of business operations.

The Code sets out a series of principles and more detailed provisions aimed at establishing a high standard of corporate governance focused on long-term sustainable success. The provisions of the Code will apply to Irish incorporated companies with an equity listing on Euronext Dublin for financial years commencing on or after 1 January 2025.   

At least every four years, Euronext Dublin will publish an update of the Code.

The Irish Corporate Governance Code Advisory Panel (the Panel) was established by Euronext Dublin as an advisory body. The Panel’s primary role is to ensure that the Code remains relevant and up to date for listed companies and the Irish market, reflecting best practices, legislative requirements and international standards.
