Euronext Amsterdam consists of several Sales & Business Development teams focused on both primary market (listing) and secondary markets (Derivatives, ETFs), as well as other financial market-related business lines (such as Equity, MTS, Clearing, and CSDs).
As part of this organisation, the Senior Sales – Derivatives & Clearing based in Amsterdam will be responsible for the local sales team in Amsterdam selling Derivatives trading including ETFs, and Clearing of Cash & Derivatives. The position will report into the Head of Sales & Business Development – Derivatives & Clearing
Key accountabilities
- Lead the team of sales in Amsterdam for Derivatives & Clearing and be the principal coordinator for Dutch clients across secondary markets sales teams ensuring close coordination with Cash Equities and Euronext Securities Sales teams
- Responsible for leading the acquisition of new business in line with the strategic plan to hit revenue targets for Derivatives & Clearing
- Drive the enhancement of the sales strategy for the strategic plan and deepen and strengthen relationships with buy & sell side counterparties for Derivatives & Clearing
- Partner with the various product development teams on optimising the client value proposition for Derivatives (inc ETFs) and Clearing (Cash & Derivatives)
- Collaborate with marketing to develop the marketing needs (events, materials etc) to support the Sales strategy in the NL & Germany for Derivatives & Clearing
Your profile
Proven experience in a sales role within the financial sector with deep relationships with financial counterparties in The Netherlands and have a deep understanding of derivatives, ETFs and /or clearing
- At least 10 years experience in Origination sales and building client revenues
- Multi asset class product knowledge – Equities, Fixed income, ETFs, Commodities across trading and clearing
- Strong client relationships and the ability to interact and influence effectively at all levels of the client’s organization;
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic awareness;
- Proven experience in converting sales to revenue generation;
- Experience in managing teams
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills, an ability to combine attention to detail with the wider strategic view;
- Dutch Native - Fluent in English & German verbal and written
- Collaborative, open, pragmatic, customer oriented with a numbers-driven approach to work
