The Euronext Technology & Support Centre
The ambition of the new Euronext Technology & Support Centre is to build a strong team in Greece that will support the Business Lines, IT, and Operations functions across the Group.
In its initial phase, the Centre will focus on two key initiatives:
Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) Development Team: We will establish an in-house team responsible for developing and supporting Euronext’s Graphical User Interfaces, which are currently managed by an external provider.
IT Clearing Test Factory: We will create an in-house Test Factory to support the Clearing House based in Italy. Euronext Clearing is a multi-asset-class clearing house that provides proven risk management capabilities for Euronext’s cash, financial and commodity derivatives markets. As the central counterparty (CCP) of choice for Euronext markets, it ensures the efficient and safe functioning of the markets.
Initial roles within the Centre will include Backend Developers, UI Developers, Business Analysts, Application Managers, and QA Engineers.
Role and key responsibilities
Join our new Tech & Support centre in Athens as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the MTS GUI Development team. You will ensure the quality, reliability and performance of the new web-based graphical user interface (GUI) for our fixed income electronic trading platforms. You will report to the Team Lead, and work closely with developers, business analysts, and technical product owners in the MTS IT team. This is an exciting opportunity to build a comprehensive QA practice from the ground up for a critical trading application and contribute to the modernisation of one of Europe's leading electronic fixed income marketplaces.
You will be primarily responsible for:
Designing, developing and executing comprehensive test strategies and test plans for the new web-based trading GUI, covering functional, regression, integration, performance and end-to-end testing.
Building and maintaining automated test suites using tools such as Playwright or similar frameworks, ensuring broad coverage of critical trading workflows.
Defining and executing test scenarios for complex real-time trading interfaces.
Collaborating with business analysts to translate acceptance criteria and user stories into detailed test cases, ensuring complete coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
Performing API testing (REST, WebSocket) to validate backend integration points, data integrity, error handling and real-time data streaming behaviour.
Conducting performance and load testing to verify that the GUI meets latency, throughput and responsiveness requirements under realistic trading conditions.
Identifying, documenting and tracking defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g. Jira), providing clear reproduction steps, impact assessments and coordination with developers for resolution.
Contributing to the CI/CD pipeline by integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes, ensuring quality gates are maintained across environments.
Participating in sprint ceremonies, providing QA input during planning, estimation and retrospectives, and ensuring testing activities are aligned with the agile development cadence.
Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) by coordinating with business stakeholders and end users, preparing test environments and documenting test results.
Analysing the existing legacy GUI to understand current functionality and define test baselines for migration validation and feature-parity checks.
Contributing to QA documentation, including test strategies, test case repositories, defect reports and quality metrics dashboards.
This list is non-exhaustive and may vary according to strategic priorities of the group.
Knowledge, Personality, Skills and Experience Required:

Experience testing real-time, event-driven applications involving WebSockets, streaming data or low-latency requirements.
Solid understanding of web application architecture, including client-server models, REST APIs, WebSockets, authentication and authorisation flows.
Experience with API testing tools and techniques (e.g. Postman, REST Assured, custom scripts, or similar) for validating backend services and integration points.
Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (e.g. JMeter, or similar).
Experience working in agile environments (e.g. Scrum or Kanban) alongside developers, business analysts and product owners, with a clear understanding of defining and verifying acceptance criteria.
Proficiency in defect tracking, test management and collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, X-Ray or similar).
Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus, enabling contribution to test automation codebases and collaboration with the development team.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, including integrating automated tests into build pipelines (e.g. through Jenkins or similar tools).
Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools for test case generation, defect prediction or test data management is a plus.
