World Autism Day

World- and Paralympic swim champion Marc Evers is ambassador of the Dutch Autism Association (NVA). He opened trading day today to ask attention for World Autism Day. Together with Mariska Aarts, director of the Brunel Foundation, he sounded the gong. Brunel is one of the partners of the NVA. They were welcomed by Marianne Aalders, communication manager of Euronext Amsterdam.

Winner Young Captain Award

Annemarie Jorna, Operations Director the Netherlands of Accell Group, sounded the gong today as winner of the Young Captain Award 2020. She was virtually welcomed by Lindsay Faijdherbe, HR Business Partner of Euronext Amsterdam. For more than 15 years the Young Captain Award gives visibility to the new generation leaders in the Dutch business community.

European FinTech IPO Company 1 – Spac Listing and first day of trading

Nick Aperghis, CFO of European FinTech IPO Company, 1 and Ben Davey, CIO of European FinTech IPO Company 1, sounded the traditional gong during a virtual ceremony this morning in the presence of Simone Huis in ‘t Veld, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam, and René van Vlerken, Head of Listings of Euronext Amsterdam. With the gong ceremony they celebrated the Initial Public Offering of this Special Purpose Acquisition Vehicle.

Alfen N.V. celebrates its inclusion in the AMX-index. To mark this company milestone, Roxana van der Hoogt, IT Director of Alfen N.V., sounded the gong this morning. The AMX-index (Amsterdam Midcap Index) is part of the AEX Family and contains the largest companies; the following 25 are included in the Midcap.

Atenor's green bonds list on Euronext Brussels

Sidney D. Bens, Chief Financial Officer of Atenor, opens the trading day in Brussels.

Atenor's green bonds are the first retail green bonds on Euronext Brussels and the first retail green bonds of a real estate company on Euronext Markets.

Return of the charging bull

After a 1,5 year-long renovation process, the statue of the ‘charging bull’ has returned to Beursplein. The bull was secretly placed in July 2012 at the initiative of the recently deceased Italian-American artist Arturo Di Modica (January 26, 1941 - February 19, 2021). It is a scaled-down version of the "charging bull" that the artist placed 23 years earlier - also without consultation - in front of the entrance to the New York Stock Exchange. The symbolism of the statue is still as prevalent today: Di Modica wanted to spread the message to Europe to stay positive, even during economic downtimes.

FlexShares ETFs & Northern Trust Asset Management celebrates the listing of 2 ETFs on Euronext. Gerard van Leusden, Head of Sales, EMEA, sounded the gong virtually on behalf of Marie Dzanis, EVP, Head of Asset Management, EMEA Northern Trust Asset Management, and in the presence of amongst others Brieuc Louchard, who is responsible for ETFs within Euronext.
