The expert with the most accurate predictions is awarded the title of best stock market expert.

This year, the winner was Edwin van der Plas, Senior Investment Advisor at Aureus, who opened trading on the stock exchange by sounding the gong.

As of today, investors can invest in the AEX^® ESG Index. This latest addition to the AEX Indices Family identifies the 25 companies from the AEX^® and AMX^® Indices that are the best rated in the field of ESG (Environment, Social and Governance). It is the fourth ESG Index to be launched by Euronext in a short period of time. With the launch of this new ESG Index, Euronext is responding to the growing demand for sustainable investment instruments among investors and the market in general. To mark this launch, representatives of the AEX Steering Committee, Eumedion, NNIP, APT, Sustainalytics and Euronext sounded the gong this morning in the presence of Simone Huis in ‘t Veld (CEO of Euronext Amsterdam) and René van Vlerken (Head of Listings Euronext Amsterdam).

Vereniging Rembrandt and Rembrandtje Chocolate Coins

This morning, a new trading day was opened on the Amsterdam stock Exchange in the presence of Rembrandtje Chocolate Coins, one of the permanent cooperation partners of Euronext Amsterdam, and the Rembrandt Association. The Rembrandt Association is committed to protecting and strengthening Dutch public art collections. For example, in January 2022, Rembrandt’s ‘The Standarda Bearer’ (‘De Vaandeldrager’) was purchased with the support of this association, the most important work by the painter Rembrandt that was still in private hands, according to experts. To mark this occasion, Fusien Bijl de Vroe, Director of the Rembrandt Association, and Alexandra Hutter, founder of Rembrandtje Chocolate Coins, sounded the gong together. Young Captain Award Netherlands

Ivo Steffens, Director of Commerce and Lead Com-IT of the Dutch Railways, NS, was elected Young Captain 2021 yesterday evening. To celebrate his award, Steffens opened the trading day by sounding the gong.

This was the 17^th year of the award, which is presented to the most talented and young business leader on their way to the top of the business world.

ABN AMRO Clearing Bank - gong ceremony

At the beginning of this year, ABN AMRO Clearing launched a new infrastructure for its corporate clients, such as brokers, to allow their end client to invest fractionally.

On the occasion of the introduction of fractional investing on Dutch markets, Jan Bart de Boer, CCO of ABN AMRO Clearing, sounded the gong to open the trading day this morning.

Brunel & NVA Autism week – Gong ceremony

Brunel International N.V., the business services provider that this year marks 25 years of listing on Euronext Amsterdam, has been raising the visibility of the Dutch Autism Association for some years now.

As part of the NVA Autism Week 2022, the two organisations opened the trading day together. The gong was sounded by Birsen Basar, NVA ambassador since 2014. With her books, presentations and films, she tries to raise awareness of autism, particularly in different cultures.
