Week of Regional Entrepreneurship – NOM

Back

From 19 August to 26 August, the gong ceremony at Beursplein 5 focuses on the activity and entrepreneurship in the various regions in the Netherlands. Euronext has invited the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Regional Development Companies to put their work in the spotlight during the Week of Regional Entrepreneurship.

The Investment & Development Agency for the Northern Netherlands (NV NOM) opens trading at the Amsterdam exchange. Siem Jansen, CEO, sounds the gong.

One of the key tasks of the NOM is to fund innovative companies domiciled in, or wish to move to Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe. Also present during the gong ceremony are the entrepreneurs behind AttachingIT and Sonesto. These are two of the nearly 90 companies that NOM has a financial interest in. Siem Jansen, CEO of NV NOM: "The North is a dynamic environment with motivated entrepreneurs who are building the future of their business, and thus to their and other’s futures. Every conversation motivates a driven entrepreneur. That encourages me to also make the most of ourselves together with my colleagues. We help entrepreneurs realize their ideas and work together to build healthy businesses and our environment. Now and later. What could be better than make those dreams come true, together? "

Hans Leufkens, Head of Client Coverage EnterNext: ''The Regional  Economic Development Agencies are extremely important for the growth of the Dutch economy and the acceleration of innovation.''
The exchange and entrepreneurship have gone hand in hand for over 400 years. Euronext plays an important role in financing the real economy. With its subsidiary EnterNext it supports entrepreneurs in their growth - along with industry partners - to develop funding initiatives in the form of loans and bonds to increase visibility of listed, medium-sized enterprises.
