Are you ready to shape the future of capital markets?
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Intern to join our Finance Operations team in Athens.
This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an international finance environment, develop your accounting and analytical skills, and contribute to the daily operations and continuous improvement of our Accounts Payable processes.
Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will gain exposure to the full purchase-to-pay cycle, collaborate with Procurement and other business teams, and learn how financial operations are managed across an international organisation.
You will primarily be responsible for:
- Supporting the daily processing of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with internal procedures.
- Assisting with the matching of supplier invoices against purchase orders and supporting the resolution of discrepancies.
- Monitoring outstanding invoices, pending approvals and payment deadlines, following up with the relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborating with Procurement and Business Owners to resolve issues related to purchase orders, invoice information and approvals.
- Supporting vendor communications, including responding to inquiries and providing updates on invoice and payment status.
- Assisting with the maintenance and accuracy of vendor master data.
- Supporting the preparation and monitoring of supplier payments.

- Contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives aimed at simplifying and standardising Accounts Payable activities.
Your profile:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
- Analytical mindset and willingness to learn.
- Proactive attitude and ability to identify and raise issues.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an international team.
- Interest in accounting processes, financial systems and digital tools.
Previous experience in Accounts Payable is not required. Any relevant internship, academic project or exposure to accounting or ERP systems would be considered an advantage.
What you will gain:
- Practical experience in Accounts Payable processes within an international financial services organisation.
- Exposure to the full purchase-to-pay cycle, from purchase orders and supplier invoices to payment processing.
- Opportunities to collaborate with Finance, Procurement and other business teams across Euronext.
- Hands-on experience with financial systems, reporting and internal controls.
- Involvement in process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
- Guidance and support from experienced Finance Operations professionals throughout your internship.
