Bol.com CFO Marijn de Wit sounds the gong after winning the CFO Special Achievement Award. De Wit was praised by the jury at the 13th edition of the CFO Day for his crucial role in structuring and managing the acquisition process in 2009 and later acquisition by Ahold (ticker symbol: AH).

De Wit has a wide range of tasks, which includes much more than the usual CFO responsibilities. Not only is he responsible for the hardcore finance section, but also for support functions such as HR and office management. Together with his team, De Wit developed a control organization that supports a rapidly growing company as bol.com and promotes the business in making value-creating decisions.
