Job Description

As a member of the Business Development team, the intern will be involved in a wide variety of missions, mainly covering sales, marketing and corporate developments (possibly partnership, M&A or organic growth). The Intern will:

  • Contribute to the strategic planning and structuring of the Corporate Services business
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis for all our services and geographies
  • Draft pitch materials for specific products and/or segments

The Event Team of Euronext Amsterdam currently exists of one Event Manager, who is part of a broader European team Marketing, Communication and Event Team. Job description

The VIE Listing Admission is part of the Listing Admission team located on different locations (Amsterdam and Paris) and operating in different markets and locations (Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, London and Paris). The VIE, under the responsibility of the Admission Managers, will be located in Amesterdam during the first 6 months of his/her assignment. A second rotation for the next 6-month will be determined with the VIE in a Euronext country (e.g. Lisbon, Dublin or Oslo) considering business needs and strategic initiatives.

The VIE will handle the admission process of IPOs mainly in the market place where he/she is located but also in all Euronext markets in collaboration with the local teams. The VIE will have the mission of improving the admission process by educating and advising our business partners and clients on the Euronext rules, existing regulations and technical possibilities. He/She will also have the mission to harmonize the admission process across all Euronext group locations. Finally, the VIE will be in charge of liaising and collaborating with local regulators on specific admissions, rules and regulations.

The Listing Admission VIE's main tasks will be to:

•    Assess companies applying for an initial admission of equity securities on an Euronext market and execute the transaction. The review includes preparing a recommendation to the Euronext Listing Board to accept/refuse the listing, communicating to the stakeholders
•    Take part in kick-off meetings with prospects (C-level) and intermediaries applying for new equity listings
•    Assess companies applying for an accreditation as listing sponsor 
•    Educate and support local Listing Euronext’s business partners on Euronext’s listing rules/regulations
•    Improving and harmonizing the admission process across all locations
•    Contribute to the annual Issuers and Listing Sponsors reviews 


The VIE will report to the Head of Equity Listing Execution and will work in close collaboration with the Listing teams across all Euronext group locations.

Key Accountabilities

As IT Project Manager, you will:

  • Propose clear and achievable project objectives that balance demands for quality, scope, time and cost
  • Evaluate requirements and constraints for IT projects while balancing business requests and client expectations

Transformation roadmap:

  • Drives, monitors and coordinates Market Services’ transformation roadmap.
  • Works in close collaboration with managers to define operationally their own roadmaps (as such, he/she is a source of proposals, and provides the necessary challenge and support).
  • Prepare and define KPI to report concrete Market Services’ transformation efficiency and performance.
  • Identify and assess potential innovations that could be implemented within Market Services
  • Ensures overall roadmap consistency and alignment with Market Services transformation ambitions.
  • Prepares and leads roadmap review committees and reports any arbitration points to the Chief Technology Officer.
  • Develop a change management program to support the transformation smoothly and support Market services managers and teams.
  • Produces communicating documents to report on Market Services’ transformation roadmap to Market Services’ teams and Euronext Managing Board (which are subject to validation by the Chief Technology Officer).

  • The Risk, Compliance and Internal Control team act as a second line of defense and are responsible for developing, monitoring and maintaining adequate controls to identify and mitigate risks, and that Euronext's activities follow the rules and regulations and complies with the regulatory boundaries and jurisdictions. This covers Risk and Control, Compliance and Business Continuity functions within Euronext.

COMPLIANCE

  • The Compliance department covers the Corporate, Listing and Member Compliance.
  • Corporate Compliance's missions is to support Euronext and its employees in complying with applicable laws and regulations and promoting ethical standards in accordance with good corporate governance.
  • This covers amongst others: Insider dealing, Anti- Money laundering and sanctions lists, bribery and corruption, fraud and requirements from the Market Abuse Regulation as a listed company. Corporate Compliance is also involved in the oversight of Euronext’s benchmarks activity, as per the Benchmark Regulation. Listing Compliance supervises the on boarding of and continuous requirements of listed companies in accordance with Euronext rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Member Compliance's main role is to assist Euronext in meeting its regulatory obligations by carrying out a compliance program which examines and monitors relevant activity of Euronext Members and Issuers in order to promote market integrity. This is performed by auditing our member firms and performing post trade surveillance of securities on possible Market abuse or Insider Trading and identifying potential rule breaches of Euronext Rulebook.

Job summary

Department : Compliance

  • As an Apprentice, you will be a part of the Corporate Compliance and Listing Compliance teams and assist in the execution of the Compliance program for the Euronext Group.
  • The Compliance program is executed by a team of Compliance officers in different jurisdictions. Executing the Compliance program entails both monitoring and reviewing policies and documents.
  • You will also assist the Compliance department in advising business on key topics or issues and advising internally on several Compliance related topics. You will play an important role in setting compliance standards and culture in the organization.
  • The apprentice is able to operate and communicate through different levels within the organization and also with different cultures. You have a strong moral compass and know how to get a message across. The apprentice is preferably knowledgeable of financial regulation such as MiFID II, Market Abuse Regulation, and anti-money laundering and anti-corruption regulation. He/she can work in different projects and are flexible of mind. Able to understand different types of business quickly.
