As a System Specialist you will be working with implementing and testing our market integration systems. You will do this within a highly committed team that is passionate about delivering systems that efficiently couple the European Electricity Markets.

You will be an integral part of our scrum team that configures and implements new functionality on our Market Coupling Systems. You will also be one of the key persons in the quality assurance work. You will be working within the very core of power market development.

You will be responsible for:

• Enhancing and creating new functionality on our Market Coupling System.

Software Developer for Pan-European Application Development

The Position

The position is in one of our development departments and based in Porto. You will be part of one of two teams geographically distributed between Porto and Copenhagen. This department is responsible for the development and maintenance of several applications supporting our core systems. Currently we are developing a pan-European Java-application to support the business area called Issuance. We need a new colleague to help us build this.

We are looking for a Java-developer who knows what it means to take technical ownership and work in a team.

 

Key accountabilities
• Act as the central point of contact of an allocated group of clients on operational matters and ensure an efficient incident management process and escalate issues in an accurate and timely manner
• Provide client support and follow up all questions or issues until resolution, regularly inform the client of progresses notably when in depth analysis is needed
• Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements and strengthen the quality framework to meet quantitative and qualitative objectives.
• Drives continuous improvement of process and practices, assess and select improvement opportunities that provide long-term value and minimize operational risks
• Contribute to operation enhancement projects, review of specifications and creation of terms of reference on coming products and initiatives, support to clients for the developments and tests, execution of conformance tests with the clients

The Market Analyst apprentice will need to support and deliver the following:

• Ensuring the existence of a fair and orderly market for Euronext Cash markets (Equities, Bonds, ETF’s and Warrants & Certificates) ;
• Having a strong focus on prevention and detection of possible market manipulations or illegal trading practices, using our dedicated tools + Assisting in reporting any suspicious cases to Member Compliance
• Running tools and platform - Full checks from the start until the end of the trading day for both PROD and TEST environments.
• Caring about the continuous monitoring of services (COB/APA&ARM/TCS...)
• Closely monitoring the incidents status (IT updates, resolution time...)
• Performing the required sanity checks after our new releases implementation
• Helping in continuously improving our current processes/procedures for better supporting our trading members.

The candidate will join the Risk Policy department and will support the identification, assessment and mitigation of non-financial risks of the Company, with a focus on Operational /IT risks.

Euronext Clearing is a multi-asset clearing house that provides proven risk management capabilities across a range of markets and trading venues.

Euronext Clearing is the CCP on several markets across a range of trading venues including Euronext Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Milan and Paris Cash Markets, Euronext Milan Bonds and Derivatives markets, MTS, BrokerTec and Hi-mtf.

Key Responsibilities

The Operational and IT Risk Analyst, will join the Risk Policy Team within Risk department and he/she will be accountable for the following activities:

• Critically analyzing business processes to identify where risks could occur
• Identifying and assessing operational risks, with a specific focus on IT-related risks such as  Cyber security, Business continuity, Third party risks
• Develop, manage and monitor key risk indicators and promote risk awareness across the Company
• Providing direction and guidance in the development, implementation, and communication of risk related policies and standards
• Evaluate the adequacy of the IT controls and other mitigants
• Analyse business incidents /problems
• Issue recommendation /actions plan to risk owners

Candidate Profile

• Master degree in computer science, cyber security, engineering, information technology or related fields
• 2-3 years of work experience in the financial / technology services (banks, regulators, audit and consultancy firms).
• Knowledge of IT Governance, Information Security and Business Continuity frameworks (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001:2013, ISO 22301, NIST Framework, ITIL, etc.)
• Fluency in both spoken and written English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office package

• Strong communication and presentations skills and ability to discuss risk in an approachable manner, both orally and in writing.

• Manage the maintenance of the infrastructure with standardised process and automatized tools;

• In charge of the provisioning and maintenance to all areas to ensure appropriate Network solutions and controls in the infrastructure environment;
