    For the 17th time in a row, Van Lanschot Kempen is organising the Life Sciences & Healthcare Conference. In recent years, this event has grown into a central meeting place for global institutional investors and European Life Sciences companies.

    On the occasion of the conference, Nadine Maalouf, Managing Director Corporate Finance Life Sciences & Healthcare, rang the gong today at Beursplein 5.

    The Van Lanschot Kempen team was welcomed by René van Vlerken, Head of Listings, and Leon Mensink, Listing Associate, of Euronext Amsterdam.

    Royal Delft celebrates 70th listing anniversary

    In 1954, Porceleyne Fles N.V. listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange. The manufacturer of the iconic and artisanal Delfts Elfs Blue - whose history dates back to 1653 -- is now known at home and abroad as Royal Delft.

    To celebrate 70 years of listing, Royal Delft CEO Henk Schouten rang the gong this morning, opening a new day of trading on the Damrak.

    The company was welcomed to the anniversary celebration by Rene van Vlerken, (Head of Listing Euronext Amsterdam).

  • Retail Broker Advisory Committee

    Euronext Amsterdam welcomes Retail Broker Advisory Committee

    Euronext Amsterdam today opens the doors to Beursplein 5 for the Retail Broker Advisory Committee (RBAC).

    The RBAC is an annual meeting of 30 retail brokers from across Europe, and is designed to discuss current affairs and the latest on investment products and services. The RBAC participants were welcomed for a Gong ceremony this morning to open a new trading day.

    For this, they were welcomed by Dirk Donker (Head of Secondary Markets Benelux & Germany) and Paul Noordam (Senior Manager Sales and Product Management Cash Equities & Derivative) of Euronext Amsterdam.

Regulatory bodies

Euronext Amsterdam is governed by the Act on Financial Supervision of 28 September 2006. Operation of a regulated market in the Netherlands is subject to prior licence. This licence is granted to Euronext by the Dutch Minister of Finance. The AFM (Autoriteit Financiële Markten) and the Dutch National Bank act as the regulatory authority for members of Euronext Amsterdam.

The AFM:

  • Monitors the primary and secondary markets

  • Ensures compliance with market rules

  • Monitors clearing and settlement operations.

A single Euronext Rule Book governs trading on all Euronext Securities and Derivatives Markets. It contains both harmonised and non-harmonised, or local, rules.
