Bert Douwes Award winner visits Beursplein 5

Kelly Berkelaar, winner of the Bert Douwes Award 2016, sounds the gong to open trading at the Amsterdam exchange of Euronext at Beursplein 5. Kelly won this thesis prize at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences with her paper on the benefits of participating in new IPOs by investors. By winning, she became the first person to win this award as a student of the part-time variant of the Minor Investing.  De Bert Douwes Award is sponsored by Euronext Amsterdam and Stichting Capital Amsterdam.

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences’ minor programme in Investment, offers students the opportunity to spend six months studying all aspects of the financial markets and investment. Winners Global Investment Challenge visit Amsterdam exchange

Nationale-Nederlanden sounds the gong to introduce Gappie, the first app in the Netherlands where you can take out a temporary car insurance, if you’ve borrowed a car from family or friends. During the journey they car is insured and in the case of any damage, Gappie handles the costs and any other discomfort.

This is the second year that a.s.r. (ticker symbol: ASR) organizes the a.s.r. school challenge: a sustainability competition for primary schools in the Province of Utrecht. The school that comes up with the best sustainable idea wins € 12,500 to put towards realizing the idea. The 9th edition of the Amsterdam City Index 2017, the economic barometer of the bustling city of Amsterdam, rises up with 9 points to 120, an increase of almost 10%. Commerzbank launches new investment products on the Dutch exchange

Commerzbank continues its product expansion on the Dutch market with listed investment products. Recently the Twin Win-, Bonus-, and Capped Bonus Certificates were launched on the Dutch market.
