Internal Audit overall presentation

The Internal Audit team supports Euronext in achieving its objectives by providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services to help management evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Euronext operates seven national regulated securities and derivatives markets in Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Milan, Oslo and Paris, a regulated derivatives market in Bergen, a leading fixed-income trading platform, MTS, as well as four central securities depositories (CSDs), a clearing house and services across Europe.

The Euronext Internal Audit Team is composed of 15 auditors located across Europe. The internal Audit function is pursuing its substantial transformation in order to adapt to the recent growth of Euronext. Euronext is strengthening its audit function by building a strong audit community as part of the matrix organization of the Euronext federal model. Internal Auditors are working both locally and across the geographical locations where Euronext is established. They are covering all group entities including Markets, CSDs and the Clearing House, as well as other group entities and support functions such as IT, Compliance, Risk etc.

We are looking for a Senior IT Internal Auditor to join our Paris offices.

Key Accountabilities

As Senior IT Internal Auditor you will:

Lead and supervise Audit assignments on the IT scope. The Senior IT Auditor conducts reviews of various IT systems and business processes to ensure compliance with group policies, laws and regulations and international standards of good practices. Through assignments and continuous monitoring activities, the Senior IT Auditor evaluates governance processes and the effectiveness of the organization’s risk management and internal control processes. This includes:

  • leading and managing the auditors on the assignment in all aspects of the assigned audit;

  • following a risk based approach and in conjunction with the Chief Audit Executive, developing and executing IT audit programs and testing procedures;

  • identifying discrepancies and provide recommendations for risk reduction and process improvements;

  • preparing and guaranteeing the quality of the formal Audit reports for distribution to management and the Audit Committee;

  • Contributing to Internal Audit's recommendation follow-up process and liaising with management on progress in implementing improvement and development items;

  • Supporting the annual risk assessment process and planning process of IT Internal Audit;

  • Ensuring that audit activities follow applicable standards and are documented in line with defined methodologies in the organisation's internal audit tool;

  • Contributing to Internal Audit's reporting and communication activities to relevant stakeholders;

The Senior IT Internal Auditor could also contributes to executing IT audit activities as a team member in collaboration with the other Senior members of the Group Internal IT Audit Team.

Experience & background

Heart of the Dutch financial capital market

Euronext Amsterdam is located in the lively city centre of Amsterdam at the historical exchange building at Beursplein 5. This historical building is the heart of the Dutch financial capital market. With around 35 tenant companies all active in the ecosystem of the Amsterdam stock exchange, our building functions as a trading, knowledge and network centre in Amsterdam and the Netherlands.

Summary of the role and departement

The Events team is part of the Communications and Investor Relations team of Euronext. The Events team is represented in all seven Euronext home countries and is in charge of organising more than 400+ events, in person, hybrid and virtual, annually across Europe.

The Events Manager Amsterdam is responsible for organising Amsterdam’ s events, such as IPO ceremonies at Amsterdam, conferences, courses and seminars in Amsterdam and supporting other events such as business dinners and lunches when needed. The event manager organises events whilst managing costs and working on continual improvement through evaluations of the events held.

The Events Manager at Amsterdam will join the Events Team in Euronext led by the Group Head of Events within the Communication and IR team at Euronext, which owns Amsterdam. The job is based in Amsterdam, with potential travels in Europe to support events in other group location if needed.

The events that are organised by Euronext are the heart of the group’s communication strategy. The Events Manager will support with the organization of these major events:

  • Traditional gong ceremony
  • Listing ceremonies (in the context of Initial Public Offering operations)
  • Workshops and Euronext academic events, such as the multi-day Euronext education programme IPOready
  • Business or private breakfast sessions, lunches and dinners
  • Internal staff events, such as the End of Year Party and Family Day

Key accountabilities

The role as Event Manager include the following responsibilities:

  • Organise and help deliver all virtual, hybrid and physical courses, events and conferences for Euronext in Amsterdam, including: Gong ceremonies, workshops, seminars or large scale events/conferences to support business and group objectives in close co-ordination with the businesses and clients.

  • Co-ordinate all event logistics, such as invitations, guest lists, catering, presentation materials, audiovisual support, media, webcasting, photography, security procedures, billboards/signs, gifts etc. Also briefing external agencies and (internal) stakeholders about the events. This also includes liaising with the legal team for contracts, onboarding of new suppliers as well as raising POs and handling invoicing. These events take place in either the historical building of Euronext Amsterdam or in other external premises, in physical, virtual or hybrid formats, organised closely with Euronext’s subsidiary Company Webcast.

  • The role includes close collaboration with the communications manager and the listing marketing officer at Amsterdam.

  • Ensure compliance of Euronext branding, marketing and event materials with the support of the Groups design agency and our internal brand and content team.

  • Regularly update website content related to events and manage registration and communication through our events tool, and ensure regular internal reporting internally.

  • Work on international project when appropriate, to support other international team members. You will also participate in weekly team meetings with your colleagues from our other European locations.

  • Work closely with teams in the Communications and Investor Relations department  such as the Press, Social Media, Brand & Content , Internal Comms teams as well as with other departments such as the Marketing and Facilities teams. Be the key contact point for Business owners willing to organise events in the defined scope.

  • Brief external agencies and suppliers when necessary, and managing them to deliver the best possible service.

  • Ensure ESG compliancy of events and goodies, and propose new ideas to improve carbon footprint of the team.

    About Euronext Financial Derivatives team

    Euronext Derivatives offers a wide range of index futures and options as well as single stock options and futures to a diverse community of clients (Banks, Asset Managers, Brokers and Investment firms) worldwide.

    The Paris Euronext Institutional Derivatives team focuses at defining the Derivatives strategy by developing the reach of its core products within clients mainly based in France, the UK and the US, and works closely with traders to develop new products and services to generate future growth.

    Missions

    • Support the team commercial efforts in building presentations for clients (banks, market makers, brokers) including statistics describing trading pattern and rankings.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Designs, codes, or configures, tests, debugs, deploys, documents and maintains large and/or complex programs, 
    • Uses a variety of software development toolkits, programming languages (PL/SQL specific), testing/verifying applications, while adhering to specific development best practices and quality standards.
    • Gathers business requirements, translating that information into detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written or configured, and validating that the proposed applications align with the architectural design and with the business needs.
    • Performs Technical Review of requirements, analyses source data and provide gap analysis
    • Collaborates, coordinates and communicates within Data Solutions team members (used to SCRUM Agile work).
    • Participates in code reviews and ensure that code is efficient, maintainable, and meets development standards
    • Performs unit testing and support system testing and user acceptance testing
    • Maintains production service. On call availability and flexibility required.

    SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

    • PL/SQL, SQL programming skills are mandatory. ( e.g. Knowledge of aggregate and analytic functions)
    • Oracle database administration basics ( Exadata experience is welcome)
    • Performance tuning for Oracle Databases is considered as a plus.
    • Development lifecycle experience, including requirements, coding, testing and implementation
    • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills, coupled with a desire to take on responsibilities
    • Basic knowledge in Programming Languages ( C#, Python )
    • Basic experience using .NET and developing ASP.NET MVC applications
    • Basic knowledge in Web based applications ( HTML5, CSS and JavaScript)

    • Be the key liaison with managers providing them support on complex HR issues and suggesting opportunities for improvements, efficiencies and new potential projects.
    •  Contribute to the implementation of the HR strategies to meet the needs and requirements of the business segment.
    •  Ensure that all HR process (as i.e. Performance management, Talent Review) are locally declined, followed and completed accordingly with local peculiarities and are well-implemented within the organization. Support their alignment across Euronext countries.

    • Contribute to successful delivery of key 2024 strategic projects, leading the people, communication, culture and change management transformation plans
    • Deliver on time, within budget and to high quality our annual TOM target on Workday Workforce Planning and supporting managers in budget definition in relation to HCs permanent and fixed
    • Support on compensation review process
    • Support internal mobility and job rotations
    • Support and lead Management on organizational changes and mitigate people related risks

    • Ensure the provision and the communication of excellent HR services to management and employees
    • Develop a strong network with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.


    Your profile:

    • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
    • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role in a complex organization
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various business functions
    • Ability to manage complex projects and adapt quickly to a changing environment
    • Integrity, confidentiality and rigor in applying and explaining rules
