Job Description Summary

The C++ Software Developer will work on a daily basis with other Developers, QA Analysts, Business Analysts and Project Managers.

Euronext Market Services (EMS) Department

Being part of the Euronext Market Services (EMS) team, you’re in the heart of the Euronext organization. Euronext Market Services (EMS) is the front line for Euronext Cash, Derivatives and Commodities business with two operational centres in Amsterdam and Paris to ensure fair and orderly markets for all Cash, Derivatives and Commodities products, including Corporate Actions, Euronext Indices, Euronext Market Data, Member on boarding and Hosted Commercial Markets. EMS is a preferred entry point for all talents willing to work in the Euronext or more broadly in the financial markets industry.

Your tasks

The focus of the position will be related to Derivatives Corporate Actions (50%) as well as Derivatives Market Surveillance (50%). The activities are shown more in detail below:

For 50% of your time, you are responsible for managing and coordinating the corporate actions on a global level with regard to all Derivatives products listed on Euronext.

  • Search, study and analyze information to spot Corporate Actions for Derivatives products or updates the already known Corporate Actions.

  • Assess the effect of Corporate Actions on the markets and the relevant products, consult all relevant parties and sends out the necessary information.

  • Aware of main developments /issues/events in the market and how these (can) result in a Corporate Action.

  • Ensure that the adjustment for a Corporate Actions is performed in accordance with the CA Policy.

  • Monitoring/Alerting/prevent and detect market manipulations. Report suspicious cases to Member Compliance through the defined process. Proposal of new alerts notably to take into account regulatory evolutions

  • Incident management: identification, alert to IT, work on resolution notably during SIP, handle market status communication and drafting of info flash when assigned this role. Work on postmortem and with Problems management

  • Within the Primary Markets department, the Business Development team is the reference knowledge and project center for all Euronext locations. After a training phase in France, the analyst will be part of the Dublin team to support the launch and the development of new European initiatives, namely strategic business projects related to debt and equity listing, and the automation of statistics and business intelligence, and the VIE will participate in the preparation of monthly and quarterly group reports on business performance for senior management.

The Numbering Services Team key activities include:

Role: Accredited Local Operating Unit

Responsibility: The creation and maintenance of LEI (Legal Entity Identifier) codes which are required for listing on Euronext Dublin, as well as being required for a number of entities as a result of MiFIR (Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation).

Role: National Numbering Agency

Responsibility: Supporting our Centre of Excellence teams and customers with ISIN (International Securities Identification Number), FISN (Financial Instrument Short Name) & CFI (Classification of Financial Instrument) coding of Irish Equity, Debt and Investment Fund securities to support listing.

Key accountabilities

Supporting our Centre of Excellence teams and customers with LEI, ISIN, FISN and CFI coding of Irish Equity, Debt and Investment Fund securities to support listing;


  • Coordinate and participate with the issuance of LEI codes to legal entities worldwide and on-going maintenance of the Euronext Dublin LEI function

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail essential

  • Proven time management, organisational and prioritisation skills essential

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential

  • Proven customer service focused experience preferred

  • Degree or similar qualification in a financial subject a distinct advantage

  • Irish funds Industry knowledge an advantage

  • Experience in liaising with IT development teams an advantage

  • An energetic team player, who is able to multi task, work independently and to strict deadlines

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Additional languages an advantage
