Cash & Derivatives Department

Euronext operates an established listing and multi-asset trading business across 7 European markets, covering Paris, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Dublin, Lisbon and Oslo. The Cash and Derivatives Business Unit manages trading service offer for cash equities, equity derivatives, warrants and certificates. 


As part of this departement, the Equities team is continuously optimising the market offering, fine-tuning tariffs and developing innovative new products that enable Euronext to compete effectively in the constantly evolving European market landscape.

To support the team, Euronext is seeking to recruit a financial markets professional to undertake market and product development activities for its Cash franchise. As a key member of the Equities team, the job holder will contribute to the implementation of the Cash strategy and to the management of the equity income cash P&L. The job holder will report directly to the Head of Core Market and will primarily be tasked with optimizing and defending the yield, market share and revenue of the franchise.


The Equities team is tasked with the following missions:
- Maximize the yield, market share and revenue of the Cash franchise
- Management of all liquidity/market making programmes
- Client relationship management with key stakeholders
- Business and Product development to ensure Euronext remains a Pan-EU leader in terms of
liquidity

Job Summary

The Equity Analyst will inherit a suite of existing strategic projects related to customer strategy and trade execution and work on the implementation of these initiatives as well as being responsible for the monitoring of the franchise’s performance (revenues, yield and market share). 
The Equity Analyst needs to have excellent communication skills and manage all stakeholders in the business development lifecycle. Client targets include buy side, sell side, liquidity providers, retail brokers, clearing members and vendors based in the continental Europe and UK.

Main Responsibilities

The Equity Analyst will be responsible for the development, the management and the monitoring of key projects of the Equities franchise. This is including but not limited to:
• Monitoring of the business environment: regulatory changes, competitive intelligence analysis
(new products, performance, potential differentiation etc.).
• Production of client/market reports and interact with the Quant researchers for internal and external reviews of the Equity franchise performance.
• Monitoring of client performance (volumes, strategies) and associated reporting.
• Work collaboratively with the transversal support teams including (a) the Statistics, Finance and Legal teams to optimize pricing, analyse trading behaviours (b) the client Services function to co-ordinate client engagement, (c) Project Management and IT to ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.
• Make sure that customers are on boarded smoothly and are fully aware of changes.
• Produce the new / updated selling materials of the Euronext trading products.

Euronext is looking at the following profile:

 

• Strong analytical skills.
• 2 years of financial markets experience with good understanding of Cash instruments, trading platforms and workflows.

Department

Working in the Information Security Team, the successful candidate will find themselves engaged in all areas of the business at Euronext. Further, the boundaries of the role extend beyond Euronext’ perimeters where third parties exist and need to be engaged or responded to.

The function is heavily involved in the day to day running of the Information Security practice and wider security programme across the organisation based on global recognized frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, Cobit, NIST).

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be engaged to handle and manage IT Audits and Risk Assessments, IT Security Architecture, IT security monitoring, third party reviews, compliance checking, and matters of both regulatory and legislative impact including matters relating to, but not limited to, data privacy, cyber legislation, and corporate security best practices.

A high degree of independence will be afforded to the candidate, who will be working on key projects across the organisation. The candidate must have an in-depth security background and work alongside other information security teams from both inside InfoSec and outside in other IT teams.

The candidate will also work very closely with business side staff in the form of executive project sponsors, business analysts, enterprise architects, and project managers. The role will be engaged as a primary resource on a project from conception through to delivery and beyond. Heavily engaged in project engagement processes to establish the security requirements and controls of an initiative, risk assess the requirements, and deliver high and low level security solutions and designs.

The successful candidate must have a deep knowledge of all areas of IT technologies, infrastructures, and business systems, coupled with exceptional InfoSec skills. In addition, a thorough understanding of the threat landscape and all security controls that can be used to realise security protection against threat vectors.

Candidates must have strong stakeholders management skills and be prepared to present prepared risk analysis results and solutions to all levels of staff and management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the Information Security Programme;
  • Assisting with efforts to align internal security practices with industry best practices and security frameworks commensurate with strategy and the expectations of our clients and regulators;
  • The handling of project / initiative requirements and processing and communication of requirements;
  • Risk assessment of projects and initiatives;
  • The creation, communication, and handling of the approval for Security Solutions created;
  • The subject matter expert for all assigned projects and initiatives;

Profile and Skills

  • 5 to 10+ years’ experience in a specific Information security role (e.g. related ISO 27001 consultant / projects);

Euronext Market Services (EMS) is the front line for Euronext Cash, Derivatives and Commodities business with two operational centres in Amsterdam and Paris to ensure fair and orderly markets for all Cash, Derivatives and Commodities products, including Corporate Actions, Euronext Indices, Euronext Market Data, Member on boarding and Hosted Commercial Markets. Internship activities

  • Working under the direct supervision of the Chief of Staff to the Group CEO, the intern will be involved in a variety of top management initiatives mainly covering strategy, M&A and external relations.
  • On strategy, the intern will assist the Chief of Staff in preparing and coordinating the strategic decision-making process within the top management team.
  • On M&A, the intern will work on soft aspects of the deal process linked to stakeholder engagement and communications, and will be exposed to post-merger integration issues.

Profile

  • Final or penultimate year student from a Tier 1 university, business or engineering school, with strong academic credentials.
  • A first successful internship in Investment Banking or Strategy Consulting will be considered a strong plus but is not required.

Finance Department 

Euronext’s Finance department is key for the success of the group. Being very close to all business lines, it oversees keeping the books of the company, producing the budget and forecast, as well as all financial indicators necessary for the effective management of the company. Finance covers Accounting, Treasury, FP &A, Procurement, Investors Relations and General Services. Lately Finance teams has initiated a deep transformation to boost their operational efficiency and excellence. 

Role Summary

A dedicated Outsourcing Manager is required to design, implement and monitor (in cooperation with the ENX experts and support from the Outsourcing Steering Committee) outsourced services which constitute Euronext federal model’s backbone.


Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure the compliance with Outsourcing policy
  • Ensure outsourced services are provided in a timely manner and to required standard by the service owners (providers of services)
  • Ensure that clear documentation pertaining to each quality of service and timeliness of delivery of same is produced and evidenced.
  • Ensure the MI being provided on the “actual” level of service directly to the “promised” services as outlined in the outsourced agreements.
  • Ensure mechanism is in place in order to escalate within Euronext group, in the event that MI is not being produced as required, and/or MI indicates there is a sub-optimal delivery of service.
  • Build a comprehensive dashboard (executive summary) which summarizes the above points so this can act as an oversight mechanism for Group Management to correct provided services if necessary
  • Interact and engage with external stakeholders (ex: Regulators) in relation to outsourcing framework and set-up.
  • Management of extension of services e.g. addition of new services within the scope of outsourcing: obtain service descriptions, measures and KPIs from the service owners providing the future services.
  • Management of extension of services to new legal entities within the group
  • Determine the transfer pricing implications, doing benchmark studies and keeping the transfer pricing documentation up to date
  • Calculation and preparation of intercompany invoicing quarterly based on the documentation produced.
  • Assist / advise on inter-company tax compliance implications

Profile, Skills and Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in managing outsourcing agreements, and delivering operational excellence
  • Strong Experience in reporting & interacting at C-level
  • Strong experience in managing the relationship with key vendors and regulatorsStrong experience in the financial and legal aspects of outsourcing agreements (both internal and external, such as transfer pricing)Profile and Skills

In France, one of the historical countries of Euronext, the teams are composed with almost 350 employees, employed in two companies. The French HR department is composed of 8 HR professionals.

Role Summary

Reporting directly to the HR Director for France, the HR Business Partner IT for France is central to the success of delivering on our operational excellence objectives and to ensure we can contribute to empower our people to grow, perform and innovate.

In a context of matrix organization and in close connection with other departments, the HRBP IT is the referent for its staff (120 employees in Paris) for all matters relating to Human Resources. IT Teams are at the heart of the advanced technology of Euronext, having designed, developed and now supporting the infrastructure for our technologies such as Optiq. As such, our IT HRBP will position itself as a true Business Partner with Managers by working with them on their organizational designs, development opportunities and the management on all HR challenges faced.

Other IT teams are also located in Porto, Dublin, Oslo, supported by a network of local HR, in dotted line with the Group HR Director for IT and Market Ops.


Key accountabilities

  • Provide support and advice on all global HR processes in their local implementation: performance evaluation, career development, compensation, training, culture and team engagement

  • Manage your Recruitment with managers from job description to onboarding support

  • Work in close collaboration with the other HR functions : Payroll and HR Services, Group Talent Dev and Talent Acquisition, Group C&B, HR Projects

  • Social relations: support the local HR Director and the Group Head of Social Matters in individual and collective social matters (prepare Work Council, handle individual situation, support to "NAO")

  • Participate in transversal projects at Country and Corporate level

  • Be in direct coordination with the Group HR Director for COO (IT group and Market Operations group) and as such share best practice, support transversal topics

  • Ensure regular HR reporting to the French HRD, the IT and Market Operations Director and the Group HRD.

Profile, Skills and Experience
• Successful proven work experience - from 5 to 7 years in HR Generalist role preferably with international exposure

• Demonstrated experience with IT staff and HR challenges associated

• Experience in french social matters can be a plus.
