Job Profile

The Senior Database Solutions engineer is responsible for running some of the world’s largest stock and derivative exchanges.

The role is divide into two keys function, first to support the daily operation of Euronext business, contributing to the stability, resilience and quality improvement of the infrastructure & Cloud Services, second to work as a Solution architect for Database & AWS Cloud technologies, designing and implementing new projects.

The Senior Database Solutions engineer provides second and third line support of all network and Security solutions for Euronext. This includes carrying an important voice on aspects of implementation, testing, performance and operation.

The Senior Database Solutions engineer participates in the Database technology design and conceptualization in collaboration with the others teams contributing to the improvement of the IaaS & PaaS model.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Database Solutions Engineer provide 24x7x365 quality expert support for critical trading infrastructure including storage and backup platforms via both onsite and on-call. MySQL Cluster NDB and Oracle platforms are the key focus of this role;

  • Lead the maintenance of Databases technologies to enable effective management of business and technical requirements for all corporate and Data Centre layers;

  • Manage third party suppliers for operational effectiveness and to influence design decisions to ensure maximum business benefit is obtained from the system infrastructure;

  • Own the operational vendor relationships;

  • In charge of the provisioning and maintenance to all system areas to ensure appropriate solutions and controls in the infrastructure environment;

  • Manage the maintenance of the infrastructure environment with standardized process and automatized tools;

Essential

  • 5+ Years Oracle support or engineering, capable of providing 2nd line Database support;

Internal Audit

The Internal Audit team supports Euronext in achieving its objectives by providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services to help management evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Role Summary

The Senior IT Auditor is primarily responsible for performing audits on IT and special projects on a risk-based approach.  Responsibilities include reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of financial, operational, and information technology processes and procedures and internal controls to determine compliance with Group policies and industry best practices. The Senior IT Auditor  supervises the audit team on the different planned audits as well as the effective assessment of inherent and residual risk for each IT audit entity. He/She maintains up to date the risk ranking to reflect the constantly evolving IT universe. He/She guarantees the quality of the IT audit reports and proposes recommendations for improvements to mitigate identified high risk but also in the areas of internal controls and cost savings.

Key accountabilities

  • Leading and supervising Audit Assignments on the IT scope. The Senior IT Auditor conducts technical reviews of various systems and business processes successfully from beginning to end. This includes
    • leading, supervising and managing the auditors on the assignment in all aspects of the assigned audit,
    • Identifying and assessing IT-related risks and clearly communicate them to stakeholders.

He/She ensures they are based on obtained and reviewed evidence which is well documented and perfectly supports the audit conclusions. He/She writes clear recommendations with relevant solutions to mitigate the IT and Risk identified and obtains auditees adherence.
    • Guarantee the quality and prepare the formal Audit reports for distribution to Bank management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Follows the implementation of published recommendation to make sure that adequate corrective actions are taken and that actions are effective in remediating the risk in a timely manner.

Job Description Summary

Euronext Technologies recently started some major programs to redesign Trading Platforms used to run Euronext Markets, industrialize its IT and implement Agile methodologies.   • Signification Experience with Enterprise Java technologies and frameworks mainly Spring Boot;

  • Design patterns, UML modeling & Object Oriented Programming with Java language;

  • API & restful web services design, development (HTTP, JSON/XML, REST, Security Management) and testing;

  • Design & implementation of Relational Databases:

    • Entity/Relation modeling;

    • SQL language;

    • Object Relational Mapping (JPA/Hibernate);

  • Collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams and in an Agile environment: GIT, Redmine (or a similar product), Jenkins, SharePoint;

Main Missions

As Project Management Apprentice, you will support the management team of Market Services.

A major aspect of the position is related to ensure a great communication within “Market Services” and with the different stakeholders of the ongoing project within IT department and outside, to the related Business lines.

Coordination

  • Facilitate and enhance the communication within teams and across the departments
  • Control the alignment of the different projects within Market Services
  • Establish and follow the different projects’ roadmap execution (internal communication)

Reporting

  • Jointly with the projects owners, help design dashboards with the relevant KPI (i.e. : on the quality of the program, evolution of the service delivered by a software)
  • Help improve the monitoring of the project. All the Dashboard will need to be edited and established in English in order to be used by all the stakeholders involved
  • To Industrialize the reporting process and automating it.

Profile and Skills

Euronext is looking for the following profile

  • The candidate must have very good level in written and oral English
  • Great coordination and communication skills are required
  • Very good interpersonal and organizational skills,
  • A first experience in IT field or financial market are a real edge
  • A first successful experience in Project management is a plus
  • IT technical skills are a plus (knowledge on programming language, knowledge of Power BI)

Education and Knowledge

A final year (Bac+4/5) student in Project management or related field with appetite for Information Systems looking for an apprenticeship
