(Euronext Amsterdam) - Stork Aerospace wins order for logistic support for the Austrian Airlines Fokker fleet
(16/06/05 12:50 CET)

Stork Aerospace company Fokker Services and Austrian Airlines have come to a 5-years agreement for logistic support for the fleet of 18 Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 aircraft.

Fokker 70 operator Austrian Airlines recently added new (Eastern European) destinations to their flight schedule and acquired 9 Fokker 100 aircraft for that purpose. As announced earlier Fokker Services performed a major overhaul and installed complete new interiors in these Fokker 100 aircraft. It is expected that 6 more F100 aircraft will be added to the Austrian Airlines fleet the coming years.

For logistic support to operators with Fokker aircraft Fokker Services launched the ABACUS® program: logistic services consisting of a lease stock on any required location in the world (in this case in Vienna) and forward exchanges from Fokker Services’ warehouse near Amsterdam Airport, combined with repair services for the components for a fixed fee per flight hour. Currently, the ABACUS® program of Fokker Services for the Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 provide services to 15 operators, operating with more than 100 aircraft.

For Fokker Services, the 5-years agreement with Austrian Airlines is another major step in the FUTURE100® project, which is aimed to assist the re-marketing of Fokker 100 aircraft. Since the launch on 6 February 2003 150 aircraft have migrated both to start up operators and existing Fokker 70 and Fokker100 operators. Recently Fokker Services won the Aerospace Industry Award in the category ‘Air Transport’ presented by the leading aviation magazine Flight International for this FUTURE program. (See press release dated 14 June 2005).

Stork Aerospace develops and produces advanced components and systems for the aviation and aerospace industry, and supplies integrated services and products to aircraft owners and operators. The group achieved a turnover of € 495 million in 2004 with 3,182 employees out of the total Stork turnover of €1.82 billion.
