Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), also known as Trackers, are simple and cost effective investment products which replicate the performance of an index or sector: they offer diversification in one single transaction [ ETFs ].

Options on ETFs offer the efficiency of ETFs with the flexibility of options and allow investors to:

  • gain exposure to the performance of an index
  • enhance returns on a portfolio
  • protect a portfolio against a decline in assets

Liffe offers option contracts on leading iShares and Lyxxor ETFs as per the list of contracts on the right.

Liffe's ETF option contracts are available for trading on the Amsterdam, London and Paris central order books. The iShares ETF options are also available via Bclear.
