Options on ETFs offer the efficiency of ETFs with the flexibility of options and allow investors to:

  • profit from the rise or fall of an ETF by taking advantage of leverage
  • gain exposure to the performance of an index
  • enhance returns on a portfolio
  • protect a portfolio against a decline in assets

Option contracts on leading iShares and Lyxxor ETFs are available as per the list of contracts on the right.

ETF option contracts are available for trading on the Amsterdam, London and Paris central order books. The iShares ETF options are also available via Bclear.
