Mr Eiko Ris, CFO of Kendrion opens the trading day. Eiko Ris (1958) was appointed CFO of Kendrion N.V. on 2 April 2004. Kendrion develops, produces and sells high-grade electromagnetic systems and components. Kendrion is listed on NYSE Euronext in Amsterdam KENDR.
The company’s activities are divided into four business units: Industrial Magnetic Systems, Industrial Drive Systems, Passenger Car Systems and Commercial Vehicle Systems. Electromagnets are used all over the world in a wide range of products such as lifts, door locks, industrial robots, medical equipment, electric switches, diesel motors, and air conditioning and motor cooling systems.
Following the sale of the Distribution Services activities at the beginning of 2009, the company is now entirely focused on its core activities, which generated an annual turnover of €200 million in 2008.
Mr Ris studied accountancy at the Dutch Institute for Registered Accountants. He has worked for Kendrion since 2001, and was Group Finance Director prior to his appointment as CFO. Before that Mr Ris worked as an auditor in various branches of industry for the accountancy firm KPMG in Amsterdan, and he was director of Finance and IT at Heijmans Infrastructuur en Milieu.
Eiko Ris is responsible for financial policy, corporate finance, controlling (including audits of the operating companies and risk management), treasury and IT policy. His auxiliary functions include serving as a member of Supervisory Board of Dekker Beheermaatschappij Krabbendam and member of the Supervisory board of the Zaans Medical Centre.

Tom Verhoeff, of the Technical University of Eindhoven, and co-organiser of the International Mathematics Olympiad, opens the trading day. Dr. ir. Tom Verhoeff is involved in the organisation of the International Mathematics Olympiad, which will be held in 2011 in the Netherlands. This top-level mathematics competition was developed to find and encourage talented young mathematicians.
