Before completing any forms please contact the NYSE Liffe Membership Team to arrange either a pre-application call or a meeting at the London office.

This pre-application call (or meeting) provides an opportunity for the applicant and the Membership Team to discuss the application process. We will explain the NYSE Liffe membership requirements, review the business plan of the applicant and provide guidance on completing the application forms. We will also answer any questions you may have about being a Member.

Applicants who have not previously undergone a compliance review are also required to complete the Membership Information Form (“MIF”) and may be required to evidence their documented procedures.

The MIF is a compliance questionnaire covering areas such as risk management, post trade processing, clearing and, where relevant, client documentation. The completed MIF will be reviewed by our compliance team who will then arrange a visit / conference call to discuss the information provided and to ensure that the applicant can comply with the Exchange’s requirements.

A set of guidance notes are provided which highlight specific Rules and cover the areas which should be detailed in the applicants internal procedures.
