Introduction

Last Updated: 5/02/2004

Since its creation in September 2000, Euronext has put in place a single cash trading platform, NSC, paving the way to a single orderbook across all Euronext’s cash markets.  Euronext is the first exchange in Europe to offer a single trading platform with uniform market rules for all European and non-European equities.

The new NSC architecture was successfully implemented in Amsterdam (October 2001), Brussels (May 2001), Paris (April 2001), and Lisbon (2003).

NSC is based on an open architecture allowing customized solutions using the standard international formats of MMTP and FIX, and incorporating the reliable and secure communications protocol of a TCP/IP transport layer.

The implementation of one electronic platform allows members to reduce their information network costs, and the dedicated satellite transmission of market data offers all members equal and reliable access to market information.

In this cash trading section of the website you will find all relevant technical and functional documentation on NSC and the Euronext Market Model (EMM), as well as a Focus section which highlights specific news, a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section and links to other related Euronext websites and sub-sites.
