Infrastructure extranet
Member Infrastructure Extranet

The Member Infrastructure Extranet is a secure website that can be accessed by members who register for this service and who have been given the appropriate authorisations.

The member extranet provides the following types of data:

  • Infrastructure Metrics Files - Member's own secure infrastructure performance metrics
  • Audit Files - Member's own secure audit & transaction files related to activity on LIFFE CONNECT®

All data is T + 1 and is provided for the last five days. The data will be available to download from 08:00 on T+1.

Infrastructure Metrics Files are available free of charge and Audit Files are available at a cost of €6,500 per annum.

How to Access to the Member Infrastructure Extranet

Full details on the Certificate System Website and the Member Infrastructure Extranet can be found in the User Guide for the Liffe Member Extranet - "User Guide for the Certificate System and Infrastructure Extranet".

To access the Member Infrastructure Extranet complete the following steps:

  1. The Member should complete the Member Infrastructure Extranet Access Form. The form should be signed by the Member's MCA (Member Connect Adminstrator), indicating whether Infrastructure Metrics Files and/or Audit Files are required, and returned to MIW Operations.
  2. MIW Operations (MOS) will validate the request by email and/or phone call.
  3. The MCA should then request their own MCA certificate on the Certificate System Website. (Request MCA certificate)
  4. MIW Operations will approve the MCA certificate and issue a user name and password by email and/or phone call.
  5. The certificate needs to be imported to the browser. In addition, the MCA must import the Liffe CA certificate (Import CA Root Certificate, via the Certificate Requests page).
  6. It is recommended the certificate is also exported to a backed up network share.
  7. Once the MCA has an MCA certificate, they can approve other user's certificate requests within their company (no need to go via MOS).
  8. Each user should request their own certificate (Request User Certificate), which will be approved by their MCA.
  9. The user can then access the Member Infrastructure Extranet https://infrastructure.liffe.com/ and log in with their user name and password and access their infrastructure metrics and/or audit files.
Infrastructure Metrics Files

Infrastructure Metrics data are provided in milliseconds and information is provided in CSV format. Infrastructure Metrics Files provide detailed performance statistics on:

  • Gateway IP - details all gateway IP addresses (Liffe and Member HPCI ones) and applicable status for each gateway.
  • Trader connectivity - details all successful and unsuccessful logon attempts to the LIFFE CONNECT® environment . The data also shows the client application identifiers ("API Init") and the LIFFE CONNECT® API Version.
  • LGW (Summary) - details the longest, shortest and average order round trip times from the gateway through the host and back again to the gateway for the total number of orders. Market average and location average are also included.
  • LGW (Detail) - details the longest order round trip times from the gateway, through the host and back again to the gateway.
  • LAP Summary - details the round trip times from the gateway through the client API and back again to the gateway, measured using a software ping type message.
  • Subscription Load - details the number of active trader subscription profiles per gateway showing commodity and market levels. The data also shows the total number of updates sent to the gateway from the host, the number of updates taken off the gateway and the total number of updates passed to client applications.
  • Detailed Subscription Profiles - details the composition of the traders' subscription.
