Euronext has developed the Euronext Fund Service, a new market model for the trading in open-ended investment funds. Based on the recommendations of the committee for the modernising of investment institutions, the Winter Committee of the AFM (the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets), this service creates a transparent and regulated market that is in line with other European market practices. The Euronext Fund Service was launched for the majority of open-ended investment funds listed on Euronext Amsterdam on 26 February 2007 (click here to see the list of funds). The majority of open-ended investment funds migrated to the new model on 26 February 2007, and any remaining open-end investment funds listed on Amsterdam will migrate to the new model before 1 July 2007.
This model has been designed in close consultation with the AFM and the fund industry and its representative organisations: DUFAS (the Dutch Fund and Asset Management Association) and the NVB (the Netherlands Bankers’ Association) on behalf of the fund distributors and the brokers. |
