The 9th Midcap Event, which took place in the Palais Brongniart in Paris on the 21st and 22nd September, is the principal event dedicated to mid-cap listings on NYSE Euronext. This two-day event is a privilege forum for European institutional investors and listed companies on NYSE Euronext. The goal is to bring together fund managers in ‘one to one’ encounter with the companies directors of their choice.

The event was a highly success with more than 2,600 meetings taking place between more than 330 European investors (77% French, 8% British, 10% Southern Europe, 5% Northern Europe) and 130 Belgiun, Dutch, French and Portuguese listed companies hosted by 7 brokers:

• AEK - Belgium / Netherlands,
• Arkeon Finance - French,
• Banif - Portugal,
• Invest Securities - France,
• Gilbert Dupont - France,
• Euroland Finance - France,
• Global Equities - France.

Listed companies had 20 one to ones planned in average (+10% compared to 2008). Investors not only came to maintain the relationship they have with midcaps but with a real intention to invest in some of them.
Midcap Event, organised by CF&B Communication, has grown steadily in popularity since its debut in 2002, confirming NYSE Euronext support for small and mid-cap companies.
